Dr. Walton J. Montegut, M.D. completed a four year Bachelor of Science degree at the University of New Orleans. This proceeded entrance into Louisiana State University Medical School, from which he graduated with a Doctor of Medicine Degree in 1988. He continued his education in General Surgery at Lenox Hill Hospital and then went on to enroll in a Burn Fellowship at the New York Hospital - Cornell Medical Center for three years. This included extensive clinical duties and research. He then completed his Plastic Surgical training at Louisiana State University Medical School in 1996.
